What we’re about

Why 2 - Because the original meet up began in Atlanta, GA.
I then moved to California and started a Mistaken Identity Group - West Coast chapter. Now that I'm back in Atlanta and would like to revive this group!

How many times have you been told you're not Black enough? Mistaken Identity is an organization created for the sole purpose of extending to its Members an opportunity to find their own Comfort Zone. It was established as a network tool to introduce positive, independent, self-loving African American women to others who have been subjected to the "theory" of not being Black enough.

Mistaken Identity serves as a safe haven for African American women to come together to better themselves and the lives of others through a variety of social activities and volunteer projects. If you are interested in becoming an active member in the development of this Organization, please do not hesitate to join us. We look forward to meeting you!

Some areas of interest include: Art, Brunch, Literature, Community Service, Concerts, Dance, Dining Out, Golf, Health and Fitness, Meditation, Spa, Theater, Travel, and Yoga.
