What is Ticonderoga? A question asked by all new members and honored guests. Ticonderoga: the club to which any of striving soul and honest heart are welcome to join.

This longtime Krog Street Market favorite is better than ever these days, with its urban-beachcomber vibe, its next-level cocktails, and its menu of appropriately clubby classics like Cobb salad and steak tartare. There's a slight tropical vibe, evidenced by the multicolored lights and vintage, mismatched stools at the bar. It's a contemporary menu split between house classics and seasonal dishes, and most are designed for sharing. Creative but uncomplicated with global touches throughout, the cooking draws a loyal following. Steak tartare is a classic, and a good beginning before moving on to mussels steamed in a flavorful sake broth. Go smaller with a plate of wok vegetables or go big with a bone-in pork chop with a pan gravy and roasted vegetables.

Parking: Krog Street has a small parking lot, street parking, and there's a parking lot across the street (to the west of Krog Street Market). Also accessible from the Atlanta Beltline Eastside Trail.
