What we’re about
Welcome to Brighton and Hove’s Mix and Mingle Holiday group – a follow-on from the core Mix and Mingle group applying the same principles of a low maintenance meetup where people can enjoy attending fun events, chill a bit, chat and mingle with people of a similar generation and home-town while holidaying together. Our events aim to be welcoming, positive and inclusive with the premise that nobody stands alone. It’s just like Mix and Mingle at home, except that we’re coordinating to do it at an exciting holiday location. We are individually responsible for ourselves, getting to and from the holiday location and the individual social venues and arranging our own accommodation and at times and prices that suit each of us as individuals, but we combine to enjoy social activities together while we’re away on the usual Mix and Mingle principles.
Organisers will schedule the holiday locations, and indicate core times for the Mix and Mingle social activities. Members should make their own travel arrangements, but are not required to align to the specific core times – the core times are when the Mix and Mingle activities are planned, so you can arrive early or leave late if you want to extend your stay, or arrive late or leave early if you’re happy to miss some of the fun. Just like any other Mix and Mingle!
Please be aware that organisers are volunteers and accept no responsibility for any claims arising from the activities of the group. All sporting and leisure activities have inherent hazards associated with them and holidaying is no exception. In spite of the safety of members being the paramount concern, accidents may occasionally occur. It is important, therefore, that when entering into any activity, each member appreciates that they have a responsibility to identify the hazards and take all reasonable steps to eliminate or minimise the potential for an accident to arise.
Members are responsible for themselves at all times. Compliance to all relevant visa, customs and passport rules are mandatory, as of course is compliance with local laws. Please consider your own health condition and precautions, and make appropriate medical and travel insurance arrangements.
