About us

Inspired by the ‘Play Like A Feminist’ approach of making games more accessible through community meetups, as well as the familiar nature of a traditional book club, MK Game Club exists to bring people together to chat around a curated monthly selection of video games.

The aim is simple: play a game, then we meet to chat about it in an open, friendly, and welcoming environment.

Whether you’re someone who already plays regularly or you’d describe yourself as 'game curious' and looking for a supportive, non‑judgmental way into the hobby, this group is designed to make games feel more approachable, social, and fun.

Each month, we’ll select one or two that are accessible to everyone (will try to make sure the games chosen are available on either mobile or PC) but with the emphasis that the game can spark a conversation. I'm also happy to provide optional resources like tips or insights of each title for those who might need it.

MK Game Club is for you if you want to:

  • Connect with others who enjoy thoughtful, inclusive conversations about games
  • Explore genres or titles you might not try on your own
  • Experience games as a shared cultural activity, not just a solo pastime
