Ashridge & Ivinghoe Beacon loop ~8.7 miles

Meet by the parking meter at Tring Train Station car park

There is a £7.50 parking fee if you wish to park at the train station
You can park on some residential streets further up from the station to avoid this fee

This intermediate-level walk will require a good level of fitness. We will be walking at an average pace of 2.5-3 miles an hour. Some hill climbing will be involved. This will be muddy due to the recent downpours so a change of shoes is recommended

The walk passes through:
Pitstone Hill
Steps Hill
Ivinghoe Beacon, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside
Red Cedar woods
Bridgewater monument

Please bring:

At least 1.5 litres of water
Snacks/lunch

Please make sure you wear suitable layers and footwear

The walk is around 3.5 hours but I have included additional time for stoppages

Fee: There is a £1 fee for this event. Please bring on the day
