Smart City Challenge

Come design the future with us! Smart street lights, connected sidewalks, GPS-enabled bike rentals ... smart technology will change the way we live, work and play in the city. Let's dream up all the ways we can leverage the Internet of Things to make Milwaukee shine!

The Event:

The Smart Cities challenge is a reverse-hackathon with the goal of creating viable business models with collaborative teams of entrepreneurs, designers & techies.

Coffee, beer & bagels will be provided, thanks to our sponsor Centare.

The Challenge:

Create and validate a startup business model that improves the life of Milwaukee city dwellers using technology.

Winners will be selected by the following 3 criteria using a group vote:

1. How feasible is the business model in terms of technology & government collaboration?

2. How desirable is the business model to Milwaukee city dwellers?

3. How viable is the business model in terms of profitability?
