Título: Distributed Optimization over Networks: Machine Learning on the Edge
In this talk, I will give an overview of the most recent developments on distributed optimization over networks, where a network of agents or computing units cooperatively seek to find a common solution to an optimization problem but the data is stored distributively due to privacy constraints or distributed storage. I plan to introduce the general model and the particular behaviors introduced by the network topology. I will focus on general theoretical results on the complexity analysis both in terms of the oracle complexity and communication complexity.

LatinX in AI (LXAI): Medellin Town Hall Forum
The LatinX in AI Organization (LXAI) is excited to kick off our first International Town Hall Forum October 15th, 2019 in Medellin, Colombia!
The goal of these forums is to meet and engage with regional AI and ML practitioners, researchers, activists, and companies across South and Central America. The town hall aims to bring awareness to the topics and issues specific to each city.
