What if your database could do real-time anomaly detection?
Tobie Morgan Hitchcock - CEO and Co-founder of SurrealDB
Like the shift from normal phones to smartphones, there is a shift happening from normal databases to smart databases. In this talk, we’ll explore what this shift means practically by going through a hands-on demonstration of how rapidly you can iterate on real-time anomaly detection when it’s all done in the database.

Retrievers, Rankers and Multi-Objective Balancers: Evolution of LLM Context Engines & Recommender Systems
Rishabh Mehrotra | Co-founder at Stealth Startup, ex-Sourcegraph, Sharechat, Spotify
This talk discusses the evolution of ML techniques used to power large scale recommendation systems, that have recently been used to power context engines of various LLM applications. This talk delves into the algorithms behind state-of-the-art candidate generators, rankers, and multi-objective balancing models. We highlight the design and evaluation challenges inherent in these systems and provide insights on grounding them based on the maturity of production system.
