A workshop designed to boost winter identification skills for herbalists, arborists, and naturalists. In this course you will learn the key characters needed to identify common Midwestern trees by bark, buds, scent and seeds; how to use dichotomous keys for dormant season identification, and characters to distinguish evergreen tree species.

The course is offered at the Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve.
Taught by Dr. Cynthia Lane, Ecological Strategies, LLC.
The course is certified through the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) for 4.00 CEU credits.
