Shelley Jensen-Decker has over 20+years of career development/job search coaching and learning and development experience in not-for-profit, corporate outplacement and higher education settings. She began her career in marketing working for a CPG firm and an advertising agency. She quickly discovered her passion in helping people move forward with their careers and transitioned into career development! With in-depth experience across multiple sectors, She has collaborated with a diverse clientele including new grads, executives, entry level employees, new Americans, and individuals re-entering the work force.
As Manager of Career Services for an economic development agency, she was accountable for developing innovative programs and achieving quality and financial outcomes. Additionally, she recruited and managed career coaches and 54 volunteers to provide best in class career services. Her background also includes a B.A. in Psychology and an MBA from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management. She is also qualified for the MBTIยฎ, Campbell Interest and Skill Survey, and BarOn EQ-I assessments. Currently, she works for Ascend Career and Life Strategies, an outplacement firm, and Minnesota Job Partners, a Dislocated Worker Program.
