MNFuturists Presentation "An Introduction to Futures Studies"

From 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM we discuss RANDOM BITS where anybody can bring information to the group that might be useful or important when considering the future. Then the presentation starts at 10 AM and lasts until noon. There is usually some time for discussion.

Futures Studies, also called Strategic Foresight, is an applied field with the goal of developing foresight – insights into how and why the future could be different than today – and to use the insights gained to build resilience and improve planning and decision making today. This presentation will introduce Futures Studies, outline core principles for thinking about the future, and discuss key methods and strategies for developing foresight.
