Trails by Candlelight - Spring Lake Park Reserve in Hastings (Schaar's Bluff)

Take in the stunning views of the Mississippi River as you enjoy a variety of cross-country ski, snowshoe, hiking and plowed walking trails​ lit with hundreds of candles. Bring your own ski equipment if desired (equipment rental not available). Dakota County Parks ski pass required for skiers 18 years and older Purchase a cross-country ski pass.

Warm up with hot cocoa and crackling bonfires. Cocoa provided. Hot food available for purchase from food trucks.

You must purchase your tickets ahead of time to reserve your spot.

$8 per person. Youth ages 5 and younger free.

All planned event activities are conditions permitting. A final plan for event activities will be determined 24 hours in advance. No refunds will be issued if event activities change due to unsafe conditions.
Weather cancellation policy

Full refunds will be issued if the event is canceled due to weather. If forecast 24 hours in advance calls for the air temperature to be 5 degrees below zero Fahrenheit or the wind chill to be 20 degrees below zero Fahrenheit during the start of the event, the event will be canceled.

This is a great way to spend a MN winter evening. We will meet at 6:30 at the Schaar's Bluff Gathering Center near the bonfire. Look for yellow hats and balloons. Hope to see you there!
