Minnesota Residents Protest Against Erik Paulsen’s Failure to Provide Jobs

District 3 residents and fellow Minnesotans to protest outside Rep. Paulsen’s office.

The ALEC-trained Erik Paulsen has provided cuts and subsidies, not jobs.  Join us to ask Rep. Erik Paulsen:  “Where are the jobs?”  Republicans, whether they brand themselves as conservatives, the tea party, or libertarians, have had 40 years of government spending increases on corporate subsidies, tax loopholes, and tax cuts for the richest.  Their domination over that period of the Supreme Court, Congress, and the Presidency has allowed them to give their corporate campaign buyers constantly lower taxes and provided us with the S&L Crisis during the Reagan-Bush years and the Wall Street Bailout during the Bush, Jr. years.

Where’s the benefits?  Where are the jobs?  Why are you cutting the American Dream instead of rebuilding it?

No wonder the corporate-run ALEC was celebrating their 38th anniversary last week in New Orleans by harassing, intimidating, assaulting, and throwing out reporters.

We'll let Rep. Paulsen know that we're holding him accountable for the disgust, frustration, and anger Minnesota and the rest of America is feeling.  That's why we're joining with our partners in the Rebuild the American Dream movement to hold "Jobs Not Cuts" events at district offices nationwide on Wednesday.

Unlike our last visit where we allowed Paulsen’s staff to meet with us inside only to have them attempt to misinform us and lie to the press that they weren’t allowed, as Paulsen did with his "promise of jobs" campaign, we’ll be outside the office making sure District 3 residents know who and why we’re protesting.  MoveOn supports full disclosure and transparency, and the media and press are always welcome to record MoveOn events in full, whether we’re meeting inside or demonstrating outside.

Status: Public, open for RSVP, 46 registered attendees as of Monday morning.

Registration: for members and for everyone else.
