What we’re about

Hello and welcome to MUBI Night for the Queer Guy (MNQG), a movie club for queer guys to watch and discuss offbeat movies.

We will organize two types of MUBI nights:

Home theater meetup
We watch a film on MUBI at the host's place on a projected screen. Due to the space constraint, the host will put a cap on the number of participants.

Movie theater meetup
We see a movie curated by MUBI at the movie theater. If you don't have a MUBI GO subscription, just buy your own ticket at the box office. There is no limit to the number of participants.

FAQ

  • What is MUBI?
MUBI is a movie streaming service with a focus on independent, arthouse and festival films that tend to be overlooked by the mainstream. If you'd like to check out the kind of movies they showcase, use my referal link to get 30 days of MUBI for free. Cancel anytime with no committment.
  • Do I need to be a MUBI subscriber to join the group or come to a MUBI night?
No. All queer guys who enjoy and support independent cinema are welcome to join.
  • How do you define "queer", and how do you define a "guy" then?
If you think you're queer, then you're queer; if you think you're a guy, then you're a guy.
  • Can I host a MUBI night at my place?
Yes, you should ideally use a projector instead of a TV and are able to host at least 10 persons. Please contact the organizer for more details.
