Hello Lowell! We are proud to announce an event in our own backyard. M.A.P.L.E. (The Monastic Academy for there Preservation of Life on Earth) is a full-time residential monastic training facility right here in Lowell. They train in Buddhist and Native traditions and work to address AI existential risk.
Join us at our facility right here Lowell to practice the art of deep listening to your body, each other, and nature. Explore how to cultivate trustworthy leadership through the integration of wisdom, love, and power. This day at MAPLE features embodiment, leadership training, and connection in the beautiful nature of Northern VT.

  • Movement Flow
    (Contact improvisation, movement meditation, somatic awareness): Discover the joy and spontaneity of improv movement.

  • Nature Connection
    Deepen into relationship with the seen and unseen beings around you.

  • Deep Listening
    Drop into communication, touch, intimacy, and the joy of reciprocity.

  • Leadership Training
    Cultivate the qualities of Wisdom, Love, and Power to become a more trustworthy leader.

  • Guided Meditation
    For beginners to learn how to meditate and advanced practitioners to deepen their practice.

  • Chanting
    We will chant the mantra “Om mani padme hum,” which means “there is wisdom in compassion” and “there is compassion in wisdom.”

Feel free to arrive and leave at anytime throughout the course of the event.

AN IMPORTANT NOTE:
Please be fragrance-free before arriving at the center. Here is our fragrance-free guide. Upon arrival, we will work with you to minimize fragrance, which could include asking you to change into extra clothing that we have available. It’s best to start the process of getting fragrance out of clothes and hair as soon as possible as it can take up to two weeks. The key words to look for in ingredient lists are “fragrance” and “parfum”.

Mobile Monastery Events are offered by donation to give people the opportunity to explore giving resources as a spiritual practice. Dāna is a Buddhist term for the virtue of generosity.
