Our July 2026 monthly book selection (meeting in August!) is "One Leg on Earth" by 'Pemi Aguda.
You don’t have to finish the book to attend — just come ready to connect, laugh, and share your thoughts with other Black women readers who love stories that move, challenge, and inspire. This is more than a book discussion. It is an opportunity to connect with a community of Black women who love to read, want to read more, and enjoy meaningful conversations.

About the Author:
’Pemi Aguda is the author of One Leg on Earth and Ghostroots, a finalist for the National Book Award, the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, and the PEN/Faulkner Award. Trained as an architect in Lagos, Nigeria, she lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
