**About the Book:**

**P. Djèlí Clark** is an award-winning speculative fiction writer whose work blends history, fantasy, and folklore. Born in New York and raised in Trinidad, Clark is celebrated for weaving together powerful storytelling with explorations of race, identity, and belonging. His works, including *The Black God’s Drums* and *A Master of Djinn*, have won or been nominated for multiple Hugo, Nebula, and Locus awards.
