Mahjong and Board Games

Like playing Mahjong or board games or want to learn how to play Mahjong? Here is an opportunity. I will be hosting Mahjong and Board Games at the Penasquitos library. If you haven’t played American Mahjong before, this is a good time of the year to start. The 2026 card was just released, so the games have slowed down as regular players are getting comfortable with the new card. Also, the library offers a number of popular board games, but you can bring your own if you would like.

When: Wednesdays from 2:00-4:00 pm. (I plan to host similar events weekly based on interest and availability of the community room.)

Where: We will be meeting in the community room at the Rancho Penasquitos Library.

Other: If you would like your own 2026 Mahjong card, you may purchase one online at the National Mah Jongg League: www.nationalmahjonggleague.org (Note: Mahjong is spelled differently by different organizations. This organization uses the spelling just mentioned.)
