Online Mock Interview - September Cohorts

Details
Hi everyone,
Thank you for joining the Mock Interview Express Interview Cohort! Over the next four weeks, we’ll meet once a week to dive into different interview styles, practice answering questions, and get valuable feedback in a supportive environment. These sessions are designed to help you sharpen your interview skills and build confidence.
What to Expect:
Each session will focus on a different interview format to mirror real-world scenarios:
- Session #1 – Phone Interview:
- Overview: This session focuses on phone and screening interviews, a common first step with hiring managers. We’ll discuss how to prepare, set clear salary expectations, and make a positive first impression over the phone.
- Agenda: Each participant will have a 20-minute mock phone interview, covering typical questions. We’ll conclude with a group feedback session to help everyone refine their approach and learn from one another.
- Resources: We’ll also share a list of job search and networking resources, including 10 Great Situational Interview Questions to help guide your preparation.
- Session #2 – Behavioral Interview:
- Overview: This session will cover in-person interview skills, including dress etiquette, eye contact, and how to effectively answer behavioral questions.
- Agenda: Each participant will engage in a 20-minute mock interview focusing on common behavioral questions, followed by a 30-minute group feedback session to address strengths and areas for improvement.
- Session #3 – Hiring Manager Interview:
- Overview: We’ll work on storytelling techniques and how to structure responses using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result). This session will focus on presenting your experiences in a compelling way.
- Agenda: Each participant will have a 25-minute hiring manager-style mock interview, with a 20-minute feedback session afterward to discuss storytelling and readiness.
- Session #4 – Panel Interview:
- Overview: The final session will simulate a panel interview with multiple interviewers, including an HR representative, technical interviewer, hiring manager, and peer interviewer.
- Agenda: Each participant will have a 40-45 minute panel interview, followed by a 20-minute feedback session. Feedback may be provided in written, recorded, or live formats.
Important:
Sessions will be recorded and shared with participants as a recap and feedback tool. Additionally, these recordings may be made available to Cultivated Culture and/or partner communities for broader learning.
