Return To My Secret Place, Plaza Roja

My Secret Place. also known by some as Plaza Roja, is a two-mile In and out hike through some of the most beautiful scenery in the Abiuque region of New Mexico.

The hike is generally easy, except for some scrambling over boulders. If the soil is wet, we will have to find an alternate place. The Santa Fe people will meet up at the Tesuque casino at 9:00 AM. The Los lamos People will meet us at Bodies in Abiuque at around 10:00 AM.
Drive Time is about One hour and twenty minutes each way, hike time two and a half hours, lunch stop a half hour, for a total trip time of six hours.
Wear good hiking boots. Bring poles, hat, sunscreen, plenty of water and snacks. Dogs on leash are welcome.
