Williams lake

Join us for a moderately changeling 3.7 mile, in & out hike, near Taos.
Elevation gain: 1,000 ft ... Pace: Moderate ... Dogs: Yes
The hike starts at the Taos ski Valley, goes south, on a good trial, through a lush forest, for about 1.8 miles, ending up at this high alpine lake. The altitude at the trail head is 10,200 ft and the altitude at Lake Williams is 11,030 ft. The hike should take three to four hours at a relaxed pace, the drive time is about 2 hours each way.
Wear good hiking boots. Bring poles, raincoat, hat, sunscreen, plenty of water and lunch or snacks. Friendly dogs on leash are welcome. Plan to offer your driver seven dollrs for gas.
