Bear Wallow to Chamisa

Join us for a easy hiking on the Winsor Trail.

We will meet at Chamisa trail head, where we will leave some cars, and then carpool to the Bear Wallow-Borage trail head. The hike starts on the Bear Wallow trial and goes down to the Winsor trail, we then proceed down this rarely visited section of the Winsor trial until we reach the Chamisa trail intersection. From there we will climb 418 feet up to the High point on the Chamisa trail, then down to our cars. At a relaxed pace, this pleasant, shady, mostly down hill, hike will take three to four hours to compleat .
Wear good hiking boots. Bring poles, spikes, hat, sunscreen, plenty of water and lunch or snacks. Dogs on leash are welcome.
