Embudo Box Trail

Joins us for a rugged hike in the Embudo box canyon near Dixon..

This two mile in and out, hike from an unassuming trailhead on State Road 69 leads to a scenic canyon carved by Embudo Creek. The trail drops 163 ft in a short distance, which explains is why it is considered moderately difficult. The drive distance is about 67 miles each way.
Santa Fe people will meet at the Tesuque casino 9;00 AM, the Los Alamos people will meet us at the OK casino north of Espanola at around 9:35 AM
Wear good hiking boots. Bring poles, hat, sunscreen, plenty of water and snacks or lunch. Dogs on leash are welcome.
