Join us for an adventure on this moderately difficult trail near White Rock N.M.

The route can be divided into three main sections - The descent down to the Rio Grande on the Blue Dot trail. - A fairly level walk on the River trail to the Pajerito Springs. - A steep, rocky, 900 Ft climb up the Red Dot Trail.
For the car shuttle, we will leave some cars at the top of the Red Dot trail and drive over to Look Out Point where the hike starts. We will stop at Pajerito Springs for lunch before starting the 900 ft climb up to where we left our cars.
The Santa Fe People will meet in the South East parking lot of the Tesuque casino. At 8:00 AM. We will meet the Los Alamos people at the Bandelier White Rock Visitor Center, about 8:45 AM.
Wear good hiking boots. Bring poles, hat, sunscreen, plenty of water and lunch or snacks. Also, bring "spikes" in case there is ice on the trail.
Dogs on leash are welcome. Note: this hike is not for every one, you must be capable of doing the Atalya Mountain hike in under 5 hours.
