The hike to Upper Frijoles Falls is a genal walk, startling at the Bandelier visitor center. The trail goes down Frejoles canyon to a spectacular view of the falls. The round trip is just under three miles on good trail that won't get muddy if it has been raining. The drive time is about one hour each way and the hike time is about two and a half hours for a total four and a half hours.
Wear good hiking boots. Bring poles, spikes, hat, sunscreen, plenty of water and snacks. Dogs are not allowed in Bandelier
