White Mesa Loop

White Mesa is a spectacular area located southwest of San Ysidro and is adjacent to the Ojitos Wilderness. We will hike the Dragons Back trail looks down over a steep cliff into a basin with multicolored rock formations, views of Cabezon Peak and the Nacimento Mountains.
This loop hike is about 7 miles with about 800 feet of elevation change. There is one steep descent in which trekking poles are handy. Most
of the hike will be on trails.
