Crested Butte is known as the Wildflower Capital of the World and offers sweeping fields of exploding wildflowers set among stunning mountain vistas. This is a hiker's paradise with a wide selection of trails to choose from. I have selected my favorites which include hikes to high mountain passes and strolls through flower laden meadows and along cascading streams.

All the hikes are moderate with the exception of a loop hike to a 12,000-foot pass with 1800 feet of elevation gain. This is within the Maroon Bells Wilderness and may be the most spectacular hike of this outing.

Please be prepared for wet weather and hiking above tree line. All hikes will be less than 7 miles at a casual pace. Hiking poles are recommended as there will be stream crossings and some steep sections.

Getting to some of the trailheads requires a high clearance 4wd vehicle. At present we do not have enough vehicles for the size of group that I wish to have. Please text me at 505-699-2546 if you can drive and the number of passengers you can take.

Everyone will be placed on the WAITLIST so those drivers can be selected to attend. This outing is also limited to those that I have hiked with before.

This outing will be held following the Wildflower Festival unlike the last time we went. I’m posting this well in advance as securing accommodation is difficult to obtain during July. I will be staying near Gunnison as accommodations are more plentiful.

Please provide your driver $60.
