August 5th Blue Lake Hike - Get Timed-Entry Ticket on July 21st

The Blue Lake Trail is 6.2 miles with 994 ' EG. The trail starts at the Mitchell Lake Trailhead.

Timed - entry tickets are required and will be released at 8am on July 21st for our August 5th hike. The Mitchell Lake TH tickets will probably be available for a couple days, but I would get the ticket as soon as possible. When you sign up for this hike, you will be put on a waitlist until I get a direct message or a comment below that you have your timed-entry ticket. The tickets are $2 if you have a park pass.

How To Get Your Timed- Entry Tickets
Go to recreation.gov ( or use the app ) and make the following selections:

• Tickets & Tours
• Brainard Lake Recreation Area Timed Tickets
• Mitchell Lake Trailhead - Day Use Parking
• Enter Dates to check availability
• August 5
• Apply Date
• Select Tickets
• 5 am ( to 8 am )
• 1-day Personal Vehicle
  *** Note: The fee appears as $14 at this point. If you have a park pass, $12 will be subtracted before checkout.
• Continue to Booking
• Choose Add a Pass if you have one.
• Choose your pass
• If you choose Annual/Lifetime Pass you will see a drop-down menu with more pass choices.
• Scroll down and check the box "Yes, I have read and agree to the Need to Know Information.
• Choose Proceed to Cart
• Check out

I can only take 7 people on this hike without a permit. There aren't any day permits left for this zone on August 5th. Please sign up only if you really intend to hike. Thank you.

I will not be carpooling but if you want to arrange your own through private messaging, there is a free lot just before the main gate.

Meetup charges me 179.88 ( $89.94 every 6 months) to use their site to communicate with all of you. I am asking for a donation of $3.00 per hike to help pay these fees.
