Independent Magazines - A FREE Panel Meetup

Details
Please note the change of venue - we are now at The Albion - nearest Tube station St. Paul's
Despite digital changes in our industry, many independent magazines are thriving. Technology has democratised the traditional print process, making it easier than even to share knowledge about magazine creation, and to advertise and distribute magazines to specialist audiences.
Join us for an evening of discussion about how to found and run a successful independent magazine, and what the future holds for them.
We're excited to announce the following special guests:
• Danny Miller, founder, Human After All (@dannymHAA (https://twitter.com/dannymHAA))
Human After All is a creative agency in London. They recently released The Publishing Playbook - a shared resource of documents and tools to help people make their own magazines.

• Steve Watson, founder, Stack Magazines (@StackMagazines (https://twitter.com/StackMagazines))
Stack selects the best independent magazines and delivers them direct to your door every month.

This is a free event, but we have a limited capacity (~50) - so please register, and make sure to update your attendance if you can no longer make it so somebody else can take your place.
We've booked the upstairs room at The Albion - it's easy to find, and there will be a cash bar.

About Modern Journalism London
----------------------------------------
We set up Modern Journalism London as a group for journalists and publishing professionals as a reaction to the mostly paid-for events run by big organisations.
We believe that there's lots of experience in London that isn't shared, but we couldn't find a forum to talk about it. We want this group to be inclusive and modern - rather than focusing on the journalism of the past, we want to focus on where we're going, and how we need to adapt to produce great content in a rapidly changing industry.
We encourage all kinds of journalists to join - magazine, newspaper or digital - staff or freelance - writing, editing, production or art. We want to foster an inclusive and equal forum to share ideas and skills.
