Deploy your Applications to Azure using Spinnaker

Spinnaker is being chosen by a growing number of enterprises as the open source continuous deployment platform used to modernize their application deployments. Most of these enterprises deploy applications to multiple clouds. One of Spinnaker’s features is its ability to allow you to deploy applications to different clouds using best practices and proven deployment strategies . Until now customers had to use custom / different tooling to deploy their applications to Azure. With the upcoming release of Spinnaker, Azure deployments will be integrated into Spinnaker. In this talk, Mark will update you on Microsoft’s investment in Spinnaker and show you how you can seamlessly add Azure as a target for your company’s application deployments.
Mark is a Program Manager at Microsoft and work in the Open Source Software integrations team. His team’s mission is to identify open source software in the DevOps space that are popular among our customers and ensure that they work great with Azure. His focus is on Terraform and Spinnaker. He has been at Microsoft for 12. years and has been working in the management space for his entire career. He started working with Microsoft first party technologies like Group Policy and PowerShell Desired State Configuration and then discovered the wonderful world of open source and has been hooked ever since.

When people first learn about Spinnaker and are building pipelines, they start with something extremely basic. When your pipeline is too basic, it's hard to see how to build a production level pipeline. This presentation will show you how to build a pipelines that is triggered off of a Docker image being updated and then deployed to Kubernetes.
