Talk by Joakim Ahnfelt-Rønne

Software Transactional Memory (STM) is a concurrency paradigm that enables transactional operations on shared memory. It's an alternative to mutexes and message passing, and works a lot like database transactions.

In this talk, we will explore the STM library in Haskell, which benefits from the purely functional nature of the language.

As usual, we head to the local bar afterwards for mingling!
