Welcome to Parents around Downers Grove! We are a group of moms, dads, grandparents, and caregivers who live in and around the Downers Grove area. Although we come from different backgrounds, we all respect each other and celebrate the uniqueness of each family's experiences. We are here to support each other in this strange and wonderful journey of raising kids; plus have some fun along the way!
Our members come from all over the Chicagoland area; including the towns of Downers Grove, Lisle, Lombard, Oak Brook, Bolingbrook, Westmont, Woodridge, Wheaton, Naperville and everywhere in-between. Our meetups include park playdates, weekend brunches, library story times, and monthly book/wine club nights. And we're always on the look out for new event suggestions!
Please come as you are and rest assured, we do our best to keep the vibe relaxed and maintain a judgement-free zone. We hope to be an inclusive group where people feel safe to simply be themselves and share their struggles, wins, worries, and laughs. As the old saying goes, "A sorrow shared is a sorrow halved and shared joys are doubled."
