Miriam Phoebe Gigi Newton led a rich and curious life and this is a way to honor and explore her selfless being while giving back and caring for others. She loved nature and all its forms; loved people and built community everywhere; loved to laugh and smile (and that and her cuteness is what made her so attractive as a person); she was funny, and witty...a wordsmith and conversationalist; she loved family and friends and the bond that could be; she loved music both live and recorded; had a neverending fight in her for what was right and just and for truth; she believed in the underdogs and those without a voice, and supported and defended them fiercely always; she saw no color, and belived that we were all created equal and would literally fight for you if you were being wronged (super stongs empowered fearless fierce loving caring woman...a great one to have in your corner); she loved to dance and move creatively; she believed in the power of place; she was incredibly well read and informed; she loved poetry, literature, photography and art; loved adventure/losting/exploring; loved to dine in very specific restaurants (the best ones and built community there too of course); loved to cook and create in the kitchen (and was a REALLY good cook yum yummy); loved health and healing and could tell you about healing modalities, foods, herbs, supplements, and empower you with the knowledge of how to heal yourself and thrive; loved gardening, plants flowers and growing food, and getting dirty in the garden; loved birds and birdwatching; she loved and had a knack and curiousity for astronomy (member of NOVAC...may I suggest you join www.novac.org); she loved and was forever curious about the weather and could predict it better than the best it seemed; she loved animals and children as they were free and playful and innocent and un-encumbered and she connected with them on that level, and offered them another really cool fun perspective that promoted fun, learning, creativity, confidence, nature, security and above all love; she supported people/teens/adults with love, insite, inspiration, confidence and by connecting people with each other in ways that could benefit them; enjoyed hiking, walking, and. driving around to explore and connect with her surroundings; loved books and sharing them with people she loved and cared for as a way for them to further experience and learn; ultimately she really loved life, and wanted to share the best of it with everyone, to share her curiousity, her faith, her love and understanding for all things...and not in an effort to, but through all this beauty and experience and love she offered freely, to make us all better people, more fulfilled people, more informed people, more caring people, more giving people, more curious people...happy confident strong individuals : ) Thank you Mom for your love and support over all these years. Thanks for the laughs, the fun, the adventure and the confidence to fully experience life and to take it by the horns : ) I will love and cherish you forever and continue to do so and to honor your legacy and spirit through this and many many many avenues that you have exposed me/us to. Thank you for forever being curious and adventurous...what a recipe for greatness in life : ) LOVE LOVE LOVE.......Ward : )
