Social Dinner at Catalina Kitchen in Elizabeth

This is a restaurant I fell in love with immediately, although unfortunately they later took my favorite item off the menu! Nonetheless, I still think this is a great restaurant — very classy yet downright cool. And they have really great food to boot! The name of the restaurant sounds very Spanish, but their menu is quite eclectic, varying from Southern… to Italian… to New England… to Californian! Well, now that I think about it… the Californian part is probably why it’s named Catalina! At any rate, this place is a must-try. And don’t fret about parking — it’s validated at the very expensive attached garage. Another cool fact – Catalina is part of former pro football player/coach, Mike Ditka’s restaurant group!
