Rejoignez-nous le mercredi 29 octobre 2025 à 17 h 30 sur le campus de l’UQAM pour notre prochaine rencontre MonBUG et assistez à la présentation de David Bujold, chef de l’unité des données au Centre canadien de génomique computationnelle (C3G), qui discutera de la Bibliothèque pan-canadienne du génome (PCGL), qui présentera sa conférence intitulée : « La Bibliothèque pan-canadienne du génome : exploiter les standards GA4GH pour une génomique sécurisée, FAIR et fédérée. »

Cette présentation introduira la Bibliothèque pan-canadienne du génome (PCGL), un effort national pour améliorer la façon dont les données de recherche génomique sont gérées, archivées et partagées au Canada. Nous aborderons la façon dont la PCGL utilise les normes de la Global Alliance for Genomics and Health (GA4GH), notamment Beacon et la Data Use Ontology, afin de rendre les données plus faciles à trouver, à accéder et à utiliser de manière responsable. La présentation expliquera comment, en s’appuyant sur ces normes mondiales, la PCGL peut aider les chercheurs à collaborer plus efficacement, soutenant ainsi la recherche et les applications cliniques.

Join us on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 5:30 PM at the UQAM campus for our next MonBUG meetup to hear David Bujold, Head of the Data Unit at the Canadian Centre for Computational Genomics (C3G), present his talk, "The Pan-Canadian Genome Library: Harnessing GA4GH Standards for Secure, FAIR, and Federated Genomics".

This talk introduces the Pan-Canadian Genome Library (PCGL), a national effort to improve how genomic research data is managed, archived, and shared across Canada. We will cover how PCGL uses standards from the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health (GA4GH), including Beacon and the Data Use Ontology, to make data easier to find, access, and use responsibly. The presentation will outline how, by building on these global standards, PCGL can help researchers work together more effectively, supporting both research and clinical applications.
