If education is the great equalizer, then financial illiteracy, must be the great “un-equalizer.” Closing the racial wealth gap in the U.S. is a complex issue with no one-size-fits-all solution, and there is only so much that can be done on an individual level. But expanding financial literacy, understanding money management, and adopting financial habits and practices that result in wealth accumulation, including the adoption of the growth mindset, can help to make a difference. When passionate, purposeful and committed people come together, the possibilities are limitless. Look out for free financial literacy workshops, community networking events, and wealth creation opportunities suited for entrepreneurs.
