Norberto Leite: Moving from SQL to MongoDB

Norberto Leite: Moving from SQL to MongoDB

Details

SQL as been around for more than 40 years, is the defacto language to manipulate data. How we store things, how we organize information and how we deal with understanding of different moving parts of todays software development.

In this talk, Norberto Leite, engineer for 10gen (the MongoDB company) will talk about the mind shift that MongoDB brings to the table of data storage. How the NoSQL movement and particular MongoDB can help move away from the oldest piece of institutionalized data paradigm and how MongoDB is breaking such paradigm.

There will also be the opportunity to talk about your own experiences as we open the discussion up to the floor for you to share how you overcame old habits and started to think in "noSQL" way.
