Welcome to my home for an intimate evening eating some of my absolute favorites from over a decade as a professional chef. First up is my most asked for dish, eggplant parmesan adapted from a dish I ate in 1991 that just wouldn't leave my mind. It took me several years to get it just right.
The night's menu is a 3 course meal including carefully selected wine or a refreshing homemade alcohol free alternative. We have space for 6 human guests and my very friendly co-host Roy, the social butterfly of our four rescue cats, probably the only one you will see. We live in Graça right between Sapadores and Alfama so plenty of opportunity to continue the night after dinner.
MENU

Homemade beer focaccia for all the sauce you don't want to waste.
STARTER
A San Sebastian favorite, Risotto de Puntalete aka pasta risotto. First time I ate this dish I ordered two more back to back.
MAIN
As mentioned a rich and lovely eggplant parmesan with goat cheese cream, parsley & sunflower seed pesto with a simple, but beautiful tomato sauce. Before this dish I thought I hated eggplant, complete game changer that has converted more than one die hard meat-eater to the beauty of a well composed vegetarian dish.
DESSERT
Followed up buy another slice of richness in the form of a very moist carrot cake that is slightly different to the traditional carrot cake. A bit simpler in flavor while still very yummy.

I can make accommodations if necessary for medical allergies. Preferences don't count. I can put it on the side if you wish so you can decide if you like it or how much you want.
