Foraging Hike with Edible Wild Plant Expert & Wilderness Cooking
St-Ursanne gare, St. Ursanne Bahnhof, St. Ursanne, CHYour registration will only be valid if you sign up on our website. Here is the link to sign up.
---Spring is in full bloom: fresh green leaves, colorful flowers, and nature bursting with life. But how much do we really know about the plants around us? Join us for a spring hike in the Doubs Natural Regional Park and discover the edible and medicinal treasures hidden along the trail.
Guided by wild plant expert Nina Fischer, you’ll learn to identify, harvest, and cook wild plants, and enjoy a delicious meal made from what nature provides.
Event description
You will meet Nina at St-Ursanne train station at 09:45 for a brief introduction to the day and the basics of wild plant foraging. From there, you will set off on a walk through the Doubs Natural Regional Park, stopping along the way to identify and collect edible wild plants.
Once you’ve gathered enough ingredients, you’ll find a beautiful spot to light a campfire and prepare lunch together. Expect a simple, seasonal wild-plant meal, followed by a herbal tea made from the plants you’ve collected.
In the late afternoon, you will return to St-Ursanne, where everyone can catch their train home, well-fed and equipped with new knowledge about the wild plants growing all around you.
