For our meeting Wednesday, April 8, we will watch a 10-minute video about Media Monopoly (five companies that own most of the major media), followed by open discussion.

Monopoly power is the biggest cause of economic problems, related to poverty, inequality, unaffordable housing, unaffordable medical care, shortages of job choices, etc. But in recent years there has been the rise of a new anti-monopoly movement.

We're currently meeting mostly online, but some of us might meet in person sometimes in the York-Harrisburg-Lancaster area, and others might meet in person in other parts of the state. We're networking with others who address this issue, including seeking legislation and candidates for office.
