Deer Pond Audubon Sanctuary

This is approximately a 6 1/2-mile hike with about a 1,000ft in elevation gain.

Deer Pond Farm covers 835 acres of rugged hardwood forest, meadows and wetlands straddling the state borders of Connecticut and New York. Situated between elevations of 900 and 1,200 feet, there are many vistas to enjoy along the trails. The sanctuary is open year-round, seven days a week, from dawn to dusk.

Please arrive a ten to fifteen minutes early because we plan to start promptly at time listed. If you RSVP “YES” and can’t make it, PLEASE change your RSVP so the next person on the waitlist can attend. Sorry, no pets allowed.

If picnic is scheduled, and you'd like to participate, please bring something that could be shared (i.e. potluck) and a chair to relax in.
