Weekend walk #15: Bucelas and two waterfalls
Details
Monsanto Morning Walks goes to Bucelas!
Join us for our first waterfall walk. We will start from the small town of Bucelas just outside Lisbon and find our way to the Cascata da Contradinha. From there, we will follow Boição creek to the second waterfall. We will then return to the starting point and have lunch together at a restaurant in town before heading back to the city.
This is an easy route with an extended (but doable) incline. Depending on the weather leading up to the date, there might be mud and/or a small creek to cross.
Please note that the group size for this walk is intentionally small to support a comfortable, familiar atmosphere. If you have secured a place but are unable to attend, please be considerate and update your RSVP at least 24 hours in advance.
If you are running late, please send me a personal message and we will try our best to wait for you. Otherwise, we will begin walking at 10:15 to respect everyone's time.
Distance and duration
This circular route is approximately 9km and should take roughly 2.5 hours to complete, including breaks.
Getting there
We will meet in front of the Café Primavera, at the main roundabout where most bus lines disembark.
🚗: Street parking for drivers
🚌: Bus lines 2706 and 2764 leave from Campo Grande and line 2530 goes from Alverca
Join our **WhatsApp chat **to organize carpooling and make sure everyone gets there and back.
What to bring:
- Comfortable walking shoes (hiking shoes recommended - it may be muddy)
- At least 1L of water
