If you can detect issues in your staging environment using testing you can save your customers a lot of frustration and pain by fixing problems before even one client experiences them. All this without spending time and money clicking around, hoping to cover each use case. While it's fairly unreasonable to believe we can catch all of the bugs we may create, we can DEFINITELY cover the core functionality AS WE CODE in a way that's very useful. Also, it kinda just feels like magic and who doesn’t love magic!?
We will dive into two front end testing suites: A full demo of a Laravel Web Application, its functionality being tested with Travis CI, PHPUnit and Dusk, as well as a “How To” to get started with Puppeteer and Headless Chrome using Node.js.
With these tools, we can have more resolve and clarity when we leave for the weekend, building trust in our own ability to write clean, testable code.
