Hello! Welcome!
Do you enjoy watching films in a theater? Do you love having lengthy, in-depth conversations about them right after, over a cocktail or a non-alcoholic beverage? If so, you've come to the right place!
We all have unique experiences when watching a film, and that’s the beauty of it—hearing each other's perspectives on what we saw! Join us on the east side of Portland to catch classics or new films at historic local theaters like the Academy, Hollywood, and Laurelhurst. Afterward, meet up at a nearby bar or café to discuss, theorize, and critique!
This meetup happens twice a month, mostly on weekends, either during matinees or evenings. Plan to set aside at least an hour after the show for lively conversations about the film.

Hey y'all, We'll meet 15 min before showtime, main theater lobby, near ticket stand and concessions.
After we meet up, please find a seat in the theater. There's no reserved seating for this event, seating is first come, first serve.
After the show, we'll gather outside of the theater and head to a cafe or bar (TBD) for a beverage and a chat!
Once you sign up, make sure to buy a ticket before the day of the show! Some of these shows do sell out! You can buy tickets at Cinema 21's website here!
