Have you ever wondered how bright the night sky is? How do you measure it? This meetup will consist of building device to do just that!

The device will measure the level of light in the night sky. The kit includes a microcontroller, a high-dynamic range digital light sensor, a lens and a 3d printed enclosure.

No programming experience necessary. The programming will be done in Python, but is straightforward enough for anyone without programming experience.

Each kit will cost $30 so please RSVP by the 10th if you'd like to build one.

Note: If you're unable to make it, we'll be posting the build on the MIRA website with a parts list.

Please bring a laptop to program the microcontroller if you're building a sensor
