New Year, New Project: Barn-Door Star Tracker

Have you ever tried astrophotography? Are in interested in long exposure pictures of the night sky? Join us in building a Barn-Door Star Tracker used for compensating for the Earth’s rotation. The Barn-Door Star Tracker is a simple device which can mount a camera (or a phone) to take long exposure or composite photos to get amazing details of night sky objects. This build will be motor driven to ensure smooth operation (and tangent error compensation). The cost of the project is $40 a person and will include all the parts necessary to build this device.
