What we’re about
I’m looking for local people who are interested in taking group hikes and exploring new trails on a semi-regular (weekly or bi-weekly) basis.
Here’s what I have in mind:
-Hikes that start no earlier than 10 a.m.
-Mostly weekend and evening hikes
-Small groups (around 3-7 people per hike)
We’ll explore beautiful trails on the Monterey Peninsula and in surrounding areas.
Some of my favorite spots include Garland Ranch, Pfeiffer Big Sur, Toro Park, and Point Lobos, but I’m starting this group partly because I’d like to expand my horizons, so I’d welcome any suggestions from group members.
A bit about me:
-I’m 33 years old, and I work on the Peninsula
-I’m open to hikes of any difficulty level (from easy to strenuous). I mostly just love communing with nature, and I’d like to meet others with a similar affinity for the outdoors.
-I’m used to hiking alone, so there will be no pressure from me to socialize or talk a lot. If you prefer to hike alone or silently but with the safety anchor of a small group nearby, this is for you.
-That said, I’m not standoffish. I’m hoping to get to know other kind individuals and continue learning about our beautiful area.
