Sunset & Full Moonrise Gathering, west of the Point Pinos Lighthouse (PG)

Join us TONIGHT to enjoy a full moon rising at the same time as the sunset. The sunset is at 4:50 PM above the rocks to the west and the moon will rise from the east above the Point Pinos Lighthouse around the same time... an amazing photo opportunity.

* We will meet along Ocean View Blvd., directly west of Point Pinos Lighthouse. Look for "The Great Tidepool" on Google Maps. We will be within a 50 yards of that area, depending on the angle of the moonrise that you want to enjoy.

Parking and directions: There is a small dirt parking lot along Ocean View Blvd. and there are plenty of parking spots between the golf course and Ocean View Blvd. Realize that Ocean View Blvd. turns into Sunset Drive where they meet on the southwest corner of the golf course (at Lighthouse Ave.).

* There's also the Pacific Grove Holiday Parade of Lights near the Pacific Grove Library from 6-8 PM. The exact address of the starting point is 161 Fountain Ave. Hops and Fog Brewery is a fun and warm place to enjoy before the parade (with amazing food) AND offers a great viewing location of the parade.

To find us for the sunset and full moon rise, just look for a group of 5-10 people near the sidewalk or across the street along the western side of the golf course enjoying the view and taking photos. Don't be shy. Just come up and ask if we're part of the Sunset Club.

Come out to enjoy the sunset and meet other sunset appreciators. Bring a beverage, snacks, and a friend to enjoy the sunset and full moon rise... and meet other sunset appreciators.
