What we’re about

Front end developers use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to code the website and web app designs created by web designers. The code they write runs inside the user’s browser (as opposed to a back-end developer, whose code runs on the web server). Front-end developers share a passion for the visual aspects of the web applications and their work is critical for the web app to look and work the way that is expected.

Currently here are some of the skills that are expected from a front-developer:
HTML & CSS
JavaScript
jQuery
JavaScript Frameworks (including AngularJS, Vue JS, Backbone, Ember, and ReactJS)
Front End Frameworks (Bootstrap)
Experience with CSS Preprocessors
Experience with RESTful Services and APIs
Responsive and Mobile Design
Cross-Browser Development
Testing and Debugging
Git and Version Control Systems
Problem Solving Skills

The Front-end Developer MTY meetup group will seek to inform the community on the latest trends in front-end development. It may also host recruiting events for the benefit of the meetup group's fellowship.
