We’re kicking off the first Tech Meetup of 2026 with two conversations shaping modern media infrastructure: MoQ and C2PA.
This session will open the discussion around where the industry is heading.

• Andrew Freeman @ Baylor University
  “MOQ to the Future: Client-Side Video Analysis for Distributed Content Moderation"

Andrew will present a distributed architecture leveraging the Media Over QUIC Transport protocol to enable client-side content analysis and filtering, adding latency only for users who enable content filters. His session will cover propagation bounds, failure handling, analyzer selection, security considerations, and prototype feasibility in practical MoQ-based systems.

• James Hynard @ Castlabs
  "Soft Binding in C2PA: Limitations, opportunities, and the role of Watermarking"

James will present the current state of C2PA, its technical limitations, and the concept of soft binding. He’ll also discuss how watermarking can help address existing weaknesses and where this technology may extend beyond its original scope.
